We have been conditioned as followers of Jesus Christ to think we have to do something to make God pleased with us and earn His good favor. This causes many to give up, go into depression and loose their faith because it is a never ending chase that we cannot attain. We are in favor with God through the gift of Jesus Christ and His completed work for us at the cross. We are under grace. It is the gift of God lest any man should boast.
I’m learning how to live for Jesus everyday….I simply have to take all my mistakes, sins and failures to the cross every day and I find forgiveness and the strength to continue to the next day. His blood covenant is everlasting. I lay down all human efforts to strive at my own righteousness and be completely covered by His finished work on the cross. How simple is that?
Who can understand Gods grace? It is a gift through Jesus His Son. He is so willing to forgive and take all the bad and use it for our good. Why don’t we let Him?

That is why I must go to the foot of the cross daily.

He is ever faithful to forgive!
